A New Coupling Assembly Is Used on Heat Exchangers for Certain 3500B and 3500C Engines {1379}

Usage:

3512C E3W
Engine:
3508C (S/N: TTB1-UP)
3512C (S/N: TTC1-UP; TTE1-UP; TTF1-UP; TTG1-UP; SLM1-UP; E3W1-UP; T3W1-UP; E3Y1-UP)
3516B (S/N: S2R1-UP)
3516C (S/N: TTD1-UP; TTH1-UP; TTJ1-UP; JTS1-UP)
Petroleum Engine:
3512C (S/N: LLB1-UP)
3516C (S/N: PES1-UP)

Description of Change: The new coupling assembly provides a better seal at the joint for the heat exchanger elbow and jacket water tube. The coupling assembly provides superior clamping force against high jacket water pressure.

Adaptable To: The 423-2808 Coupling As replaces the 7L-3201 Tube Joint on the engines that are listed above.

The 423-2808 Coupling As is adaptable to the above engines back to first production. Effectivity is listed in Table 1.
