Hydraulic Cylinder (Accumulator Arm) - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Release system pressure.

------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from hydraulic oil pressure and hot oil.

Hydraulic oil pressure can remain in the hydraulic system after the engine has been stopped. Serious injury can be caused if this pressure is not released before any service is done on the hydraulic system.

Make sure all of the attachments have been lowered, oil is cool before removing any components or lines. Remove the oil filler cap only when the engine is stopped, and the filler cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (3). Remove pin assembly (1). Swing hydraulic cylinder (2) out clockwise.

  2. Use suitable lifting device remove pin (4) and hydraulic cylinder (2). The weight of hydraulic cylinder (2) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install hydraulic cylinder (2) in the reverse order of removal.
