Introduction
The problem that is identified in the technical information bulletin that follows does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
Illustration 1 | g03398907 |
Arrows indicate interference between the hose assembly and clips, and the hose and clips |
The orientation and location of 5P-7469 Clip (2) and 5P-7468 Clip (3) can interfere with the 363-7571 Hose As (1) that is part of 309-1347 Steering Lines Gp or the 186-2002 Hose (4) part of 295-5152 Air Lines Gp and 295-5151 Air Lines Gp . The clips are part of 295-5155 Air Cleaner Gp which retains the 371-1173 Hose (5). The interference can cause chafing on the 363-7571 Hose As and or the 186-2002 Hose that can lead to premature component failures. In some instances the 371-1173 Hose (5) can also chafe the 186-2002 Hose (4) causing a premature component failure.
Note: 295-5152 Air Lines Gp is used on S/N:RDR and ; S/N:T5A machines and 295-5151 Air Lines Gp is used on S/N:TNM and ; S/N:T4Y machines.
Solution
Inspect the orientation and location of the 5P-7469 Clip and the 5P-7468 Clip and the routing of the 371-1173 Hose and to ensure that:
- No interference exists between the clips and the 363-7571 Hose As (steering system load sensing line).
- No interference exists between the clips and 371-1173 Hose and the 186-2002 Hose .
If required, adjust the clips and 371-1173 Hose to eliminate any chafing between either 363-7571 Hose As and 186-2002 Hose .
