Temperature Sensor (DPF Inlet, Flame Detect) - Remove and Install

- Disconnect harness assembly (1) . Cut any cable straps for this harness assembly.

Note: Mark the orientation of harness assembly (1) for assembly purposes.
- Remove temperature sensor (flame detect) (2) .
- Remove temperature sensor (DPF inlet) (3) . Cut any cable straps for the harness assembly.

Installation Procedure
- Install the temperature sensor (DPF inlet, flame detect) in the reverse order of removal.
Note: Always replace the metal cable straps with a comparable cable strap. Do not use plastic cable straps.
Note: Route harness assembly (1) in the original location to protect harness assembly from heat.
- Apply Tooling (A) to the threads on temperature sensor (flame detect) (2) and to the threads of temperature sensor (DPF inlet) (3) . Tighten temperature sensor (flame detect) (2) and temperature sensor (DPF inlet) (3) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).
