Machine Diagnostics

Navigation of the "Machine Diagnostics" menu begins by touching the "Machine" button (1) on the right side of the display.

  1. Select "Diagnostics" from the "Machine" menu. The "Diagnostics" button will highlight in yellow.

  2. To scroll through the "Diagnostics" menu, use the Up and Down arrows on the right side of the display.

  3. Press on a desired category. The selected category will highlight in yellow.

  4. Press "OK" to access information in the highlighted category.

Events List

Path: Machine > Diagnostics > Events

(2) Back Button

  1. On the "Diagnostics" page, press "Events List". The "Events List" button will highlight in yellow and the "Events" page will appear.

  2. To scroll through the "Events List" menu, use the Up and Down arrows on the right side of the display.

  3. To view details, select an event. The selected event will highlight in yellow. Press "OK".

  4. Press the Back button (2) to return to the "Events List".

  5. Press the Back button (2) again to return to the Diagnostic page.

Chronological List

Path: Machine > Diagnostics > Chronological List

  1. On the "Diagnostics" page, press "Chronological List". The "Chronological List" button will highlight in blue, then in yellow and the "ECL" (Events Chronological List) page will appear.

    Note: If the Chronological List menu button is not visible, scroll through the menu button group list by using the UP Arrow button or the DOWN Arrow button to scroll through the menu page. The Menu Sliding Indicator of the Non-Interactive Scroll bar will move along with the page.

  2. Use the Up or Down arrow on the right side of the display to scroll through the "ECL" line by line.

  3. To view more details about an event, press on the event and it will highlight in yellow. Press "OK" and the "Event Details" page will appear.

    Event Chronological List Page

  4. Scroll through the ECL Description list using the UP Arrow button or the DOWN Arrow button. The Page Indicator located between the double arrows in Illustration 5displays what page of the list is currently being viewed as well as the total number of pages in the ECL. For example, “2/84” indicates that the screen is on page 2 out of a total of 84 pages.

    Pressing the Forward DOUBLE Arrow button or the Reverse DOUBLE Arrow button will allow the user to scroll through the pages. To view the details of an Event, press on the specific Event row. The Event row will highlight in yellow. Press OK button, the Event Details Page will appear.

  5. Press the BACK Button to return to the previous page. Press the HOME button to return to the Home page (Performance Page).

  6. Press the Back button (2) to return to the Diagnostic page.

Data Logger

Path: Machine > Diagnostics > Data Logger

(3) Reset Button

  1. On the "Diagnostics" page, press "Data Logger". The "Data Logger" button will highlight in yellow and the "Data Logger" page will appear.

  2. In the "Time" box on the left side of the page, a number displays the remaining recording time in minutes and seconds.

  3. A "Push to Start/Stop Recording" button will appear to the right of the "Time" box.

  4. To Start Recording, push the "Push to Start/Stop Recording" button. The button will first highlight in blue, then green, and will advance to the right verifying active recording.

  5. To Stop recording, push the "Push to Start/Stop Recording" button again.

  6. The "Push to Start/Stop Recording" button will highlight in blue, stop recording, and return to its original position.

  7. To reset the data logger time, press the Reset button (3) located on the right side of the menu page.

  8. A "Reset Data Logger" dialog box will appear. Select and press either "Yes" or "No".

  9. Press the Back button (2) to return to the Diagnostic page.

Conditional Logging

Path: Machine > Diagnostics > Conditional Logging

  1. On the "Diagnostics" page, press "Conditional Logging". The "Conditional Logging" button will highlight in yellow and the "Conditional Logging" page will appear.

  2. Select "Enabled" or "Disabled".

  3. Once set, "Conditional Logging Enabled" or "Conditional Logging Disabled" will appear on the "Data Logger" page.

  4. Press the Back button (2) to return to the previous menu.

    Press the home button located at the bottom right to return to the Home page (performance page).

Event Snapshot: Manual

Path: Machine > Diagnostics > Manual Snapshot

Manual Snapshot enables a machine operator or technician to capture machine operating conditions and parameters around the time of a notable machine event. The snapshot can be used for troubleshooting the event.

In the example above, an "Off/Ready" status on the Memory Location Status Button indicates that recording is possible within Memory Location 1. The recorded event will be stored in Memory Location 1.

  1. On the "Diagnostics" page, press "Manual Snapshot". The "Manual Snapshot" button will highlight in yellow and the "Manual Snapshot" page will appear.

  2. Before beginning the recording process, note the status of the Memory Location . The Memory Location can be found on the "Memory Location/Increment Bar" (4). The status of the Memory Location can be found on the "Memory Location Status" button (5).

  3. If the "Memory Location Status" button (5) is solid red (6), the displayed memory location is ready to receive a recorded event.

  4. To initiate recording, press the "Off/Ready" button (6). The "Memory Location Status" button (5) will turn green (7) and recording will begin.

  5. To stop recording, press the green "Recording" button (7). The recorded event will be stored in the displayed memory location (4).

  6. If the Memory Location (4) shows a "Full" symbol (8), recording cannot take place within the indicated memory location.

  7. To find an alternate or available memory location, press the "-" arrow or the "+" arrow on either end of the Increment Bar (4) until the "Memory Location Status" button turns red (6).

  8. To begin recording, press the "Ready" button (6). Press the "Ready" button (6) again to stop recording. The recorded event will be stored in the displayed Memory Location (4).

  9. Press the "Back" button (2) to return to the previous button.

No Active or Logged Diagnostics Present

If no active or logged diagnostics are present, a page will appear indicating that no active or logged diagnostic is present.

If a diagnostic is present, the Events List page will show it. If the event is active, an “X” will appear in the Active column.

Pressing the UP Arrow button (12) or the DOWN Arrow button (14) will allow the operator to scroll to the intended diagnostic. The chose diagnostic will be marked with a yellow horizontal bar. Pressing the OK button (14) will allow the operator to view the Events Details page.

Note: : Pressing the DOUBLE DOWN Arrow button (10) will allow the operator to move directly to the bottom of the list. Pressing the DOUBLE UP Arrow button (11) will allow the operator to move directly to the top of the list

Event Snapshot

Service > Diagnostics > Event Snapshot

The Event Snapshot feature allows the operator to capture the machine operating conditions when a particular machine event occurs. The operator can select the event as a snapshot trigger. The operator may also clear the configurable trigger.

  1. Press the Event Snapshot menu button (27). The button will highlight in blue, then in yellow. The Event Snapshot record page will appear.

    Note: If the Event Snapshot menu button (27) is not visible, scroll through the menu button group list by using the UP Arrow button (3) or the DOWN Arrow button (5). The Menu Sliding Indicator of the Non-Interactive Scroll bar (8) will move along with the page.

  2. Once in the Event Snapshot page, press the UP Arrow button (3) or the DOWN Arrow button (5) to select an Event to record. The selected Event will highlight in yellow.

    Note: If there are several descriptions on the Event Snapshot page, use the UP Arrow button (3) or the DOWN Arrow button (5) to scroll through the list. Pressing the DOUBLE DOWN Arrow button (28) or the DOUBLE UP Arrow button (29) will navigate to the bottom of the list or the top of the list, respectively.

    • An item is not currently selected for recording if there is no “X” under the Record column (30). Navigate to that item with the UP Arrow button (3) or the DOWN Arrow button (5). Press the OK button (4) to display the "X". The item is now selected for recording.

    • If another item is already selected for recording, that item should be cleared before selecting another item. The new item will then display the "X" and will be selected for recording.

    • If an item is already selected for recording and is cleared, the "X" with vanish.

  3. Press the OK button (4) and recording will begin.

    Note: If a code that appears multiple times in the list is selected, the result may show each of the line items with an "X". If a code is already set to record, (and has multiple line items, each with an "X"), selecting any one of the items, or selecting a different code, may clear all the "X" line items.

  4. Press the BACK button (6) to return to the previous menu.

  5. Press the HOME button (7) to return to the Home Page.

If there are no logged events, the Events Snapshot page will indicate so.
