  7. Install three bungs (16) in each collet.

  8. Apply Tooling (C) to the inside and the outside diameters of collets (15) and (17).

  9. Install collets (15) and (17).

Note: The collet on one side must not extend farther than the other when the bolt is tight.

  10. Tighten bolt (14) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 75 lb ft). After the bolt is tight, hit the collet on each side using a heavy hammer. Continue until the torque on the bolt is less than 360 N·m (265 lb ft).

  11. Tighten bolt (14) again to torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 75 lb ft). Hit each collet again until the torque for the bolt is less than 570 N·m (420 lb ft).

  12. Tighten bolt (14) to a final torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (660 ± 75 lb ft).

  13. Install nut (13) and tighten to a torque of 500 ± 65 N·m (370 ± 48 lb ft).

Note: At the end of 50 service hours, loosen nut (13) and repeat Step 10 through Step 13.
