Description of Change: A new one piece housing design for 288-2676 Torque Converter Groups will replace the two piece housing design. The new one piece housing will replace the current two-piece housing and eliminate an unnecessary bolted joint.

Assembly Instructions
Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, UENR0125, "Torque Converter - Disassemble" for instructions on disassembling the two piece housing torque converter.

Note: Inspect the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets. Replace the O-ring seals, the seals, and the gaskets that are worn or damaged.
Note: Lubricate O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.
Use the following steps to adapt a two piece housing:
- Use 1U-6396 O-Ring Assembly Compound to stick 1T-0686 Thrust Bearing Race (6) onto clutch housing (1) .
Note: To prevent damage, be sure that 1T-0686 Thrust Bearing Race (6) is installed into machined area of clutch housing (1) .
- Insert and thread special, long guide pins (two, M10 x 120mm) into impeller.
Note: Guide pins are used for installation only and are used to avoid damaging 1T-0577 Bushing (5) .
- Set the housing vertically onto 390-9741 Hub (2), then remove guide pins (7) .
- Tighten the 24 bolts, (K) to 60 ± 7 N·m (44 ± 5 lb ft).
