Diesel Exhaust Fluid Nozzle - Inspect/Clean

  1. Ensure that the DEF dosing cabinet has been shut off.

  1. Disconnect the DEF line at the dosing cabinet and drain the DEF line into a suitable container.

  1. Disconnect air and DEF lines from the DEF injector.

  1. Remove covers to access injector flange.

  1. Remove flange bolts.

  1. Remove the DEF injector (1) .

  1. Inspect and clean the nozzle by flushing the nozzle with warm water. Brush the nozzle as needed to dislodge debris. Ensure that the nozzle tip is clean.

  1. Dry the nozzle.

  1. Install the DEF injector with the nozzle in the correct position. The correct position is in the direction of exhaust flow. Ensure the mark located on the injector flange corresponds to the mark located on the CEM flange. Tighten the flange bolts to the proper torque. For standard torques, see Specifications, SENR3130, "Torque Specifications".

  1. Install covers.

  1. Install the air and DEF lines.
