Engine News SEBD9808, 7 September 2012, "A New Turbocharger Housing is Used on Certain 3512 Engines". The original article has been revised because the software for the ADEM III ECM was canceled and replaced.

Description of Change: The new turbocharger housing mounting flange has been enlarged in order to reduce stress at the turbine inlet joint.

Adaptable To: The new 372-4162 Housing is a direct replacement for the former 294-2939 Housing, which are canceled.

The new turbocharger housing is adaptable back to the first production engine listed above.

Engines must be updated with the 366-9602 Water Temperature Regulator and one of the following flash files prior to installing the new housing:

• 327-2708 Engine Ratings Electronic Software Gp for the ADEM II ECM

• 367-3031 Engine Ratings Electronic Software Gp for the ADEM III ECM

The new 372-4162 Housing is effective to serial number 3ZW01153-UP.

The new parts and former parts are listed in table 1

The only difference between the new turbocharger group and the former turbocharger group is the housing.
