(1) Actuator

Install actuator (1) so that inlet port (2) and outlet port (3) are aligned as shown. The ports on the actuator are stamped "Inlet" and "Outlet".

Torque for the nut on the actuator ... 200 ± 20 N·m (148 ± 15 lb ft)

Assemble rod (4) so that there is equal thread engagement at each end.

(5) Torque for the nut ... 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)
(6) Torque for the nut ... 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)
(A) Angle of the lever with the fuel valve in the closed position ... 9 degrees
(B) Distance from the center of the clevis eye to the mounting plate with the fuel valve in the closed position ... 138.8 mm (5.47 inch)
(C) Angle of the lever with the fuel valve in the open position ... 36 degrees
(D) Distance from the center of the clevis eye to the mounting plate with the fuel valve in the open position ... 90.6 mm (3.57 inch)
(E) Length of the assembled rod and the centers of the eyes of the rod ends ... 282.1 mm (11.11 inch)

(7) Orient the bearings so that the lube fittings are accessible. Lubricate the bearings with a 5P-0960 Grease Cartridge (MOLYBDENUM).

Assemble rod (8) so that there is equal thread engagement at each end.

(5) Torque for the nut ... 25 ± 6 N·m (18 ± 4 lb ft)

(F) Angle of the lever with the fuel valve closed ... 73.3 degrees
(G) Distance from the fuel valve to the center of the clevis eye with the fuel valve closed ... 133.1 mm (5.24 inch)
(H) Angle of the lever with the fuel valve open ... 118.3 degrees
(I) Length of the assembled rod and the centers of the eyes of the rod ends ... 113.7 mm (4.48 inch)
(J) Distance from the fuel valve to the center of the clevis eye with the fuel valve open ... 171.1 mm (6.74 inch)

(9) The actuator must fully extend in order to close the fuel valve but the actuator must not over rotate the valve stem. Perform the final adjustment of the linkage.

  1. With the actuator fully extended and the fuel valve closed, rotate the clevis for 180 degrees away from the metering valve.

  2. Lock the linkage and ensure that the valve can still open fully.
