Relief Valve (Torque Converter Outlet) - Disassemble

Usage:

773G JWS

Disassembly Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove the torque converter outlet relief valve.

------ WARNING! ------

Personal injury can result from parts and/or covers under spring pressure.

Spring force will be released when covers are removed.

Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.

  1. Remove covers (1) and O-ring seals (2).

    Note: Remove both covers at the same time for safe relief of the spring tension.

  2. Remove O-ring seal (3) and spring (4).

  3. Remove O-ring seal (5) and spool assembly (6).

  4. Remove shims (7) from spool assembly (6).

  5. Remove retaining ring (9).

  6. Remove retaining plate (9), spring (10), base retainer (11) from spool (6).
