Description of Change: New Implement and Advisor Software is now available for certain D8T and D9T Track Type Tractors. The new Implement and Advisor software flash files contain the following changes and improvements:

Implement Software:

• Lowered the level II warning from 100° C (212° F) to 95° C (203.00000° F) for Hydraulic Oil Temperature

• Lowered the level III warning from 115° C (239° F) to 100° C (212° F) for Hydraulic Oil Temperature

• The Start of the Red Zone on the Hydraulic Oil Temperature gauge has been moved from 100° C (212° F) to 95° C (203° F)

Note: Update both the implement and the advisor software for optimal operation. If normal Machine operation results in Implement Hydraulic Oil Temperature operating in the range of 95° C (203° F) and above then it is recommended to perform the following improvements:

• Change the hydraulic oil by HYDO Advanced 30 for regions with winter temperatures not below 0° C (32° F)

• Change hydraulic oil by DEO 15W-40 for the climates where the low ambient can drop down to −15° C (5° F)

Adaptable To: The new Implement and Advisor software part numbers are listed in Table 1.

Note: Go to SIS Web to make sure that the new Flash File part number is still the latest Flash File part number. A newer Flash File part number may be available. SIS Web only displays the latest available Flash File. The new software is available in the form of a Flash File through Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS).The Implement and Advisor Software is adaptable and effective in production with the serial numbers that are listed in Table 2.
