A New Bolt and Washers Are Used in the Damper Guard Group of Certain C18 Marine Engines {1205, 7553}

Description of Change: The new bolt and washers distribute the stress throughout the guard more efficiently.
Adaptable To: The new 8T-9101 Bolt, 5P-1075 Hard Washer, and 8T-7971 Hard Washer are a direct replacement for the existing hardware that secures the 334-6888 Plate. The 334-6888 Plate is contained within the 329-5150 Damper Guard Gp and the 329-6140 Damper Guard Gp. Refer to the procedure below to install the new bolt and washers.
This change is effective for serial numbers JKX1339-UP.
Installing the 8T-9101 Bolt, 5P-1075 Hard Washer, and 8T-7971 Hard Washer

- Remove the existing 4L-6459 Bolt and install bolt (2) .
- Remove the existing 8T-4223 Hard Washer and install washer (4). Install washer (3) .
- Reinstall the 334-6888 Plate .
- Tighten all hardware to standard torque.
