A procedure to measure the O-ring seal land of the water-cooled exhaust elbows is available. This new procedure helps th ensure that the depth groove of the exhaust elbow is within the proper measurement specifications.

Refer to Illustration 1 and Illustration 2 for the proper location to take the measurement of the seal land.
Refer to Table 1 for the correct seal land measurements.

If the measurement of the seal land is not within tolerance that is listed in Table 1, the elbow must be replaced. The replacement elbow will be the same part number as the current elbow. Replacing the elbow will help to ensure that there is no leakage at the sealed joint.
