Revised Start-Up Procedure For Uninterruptible Power Supply UPSB 125/130 {4480}

Usage:

UPSB 125 SEP
Uninterruptible Power Supply:
UPSB 125 (S/N: SEP1-UP)
UPSB 130 (S/N: XTC1-UP)

Introduction

The problem that is identified in the technical information bulletin that follows does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

There is a potential random and simultaneous double command on the AC Bypass static switch / inverter static switch during the UPS start-up (power supply energizing phase).

Solution

There is a new start-up procedure for UPSB 125/130 UPS systems to avoid possible dropped load and/or damage to the system. The new start-up procedure for Unitary and Parallel units is published in PowerNet as well as included in this bulletin.

The following flowcharts show the process for placing UPSB 125/130 UPS systems into maintenance and troubleshooting mode.
