New software for Product Link (PL300) is now available. The new 384-6463 Communication Software Gp replaces the former 330-3409 Communication Software Gp .

The new software for Product Link (PL300) has the following enhancements:

• Reduces excessive reporting of ECM information, which is monitored on the Cat^® Datalink. This fix will not be evident to users or features in Equipment Manager or VisionLink, but reduces stress on systems such as satellite network and web infrastructure that processes inbound messages from Product Link.

• Reduces the occurrence of CID 1250 FMI 09.

Steps for flashing the New Software

1. Download the flash file from SIS Web.

2. Flash the PL300 (239-9954 Electronic Control Module or 285-1133 Electronic Control Module ) with the 3846463.fls file.

   Note: Refer to the above references for appropriate procedures on flashing the software.

3. After flashing the new software, adjust the internal Product Link clock to agree with the machine SMH as indicated on the hour meter.

4. Flashing the PL300 will automatically cause registration message and an administration message to be queued.
