Introduction

The problem that is identified in the technical information bulletin that follows does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Some 7N-2405 Bolts were manufactured by a supplier that has not been approved by Caterpillar. Some of those bolts are in the parts system.

Solution

Do not use any 7N-2405 Bolts that are stamped with the CAT logo and "ATC".

Quarantine the bolts and hold the bolts until further notice.
