Assembly Procedure

  1. Install valve (93), spring (92), O-ring seal (91), and plug (90) into main control valve (1).

  2. Install valve (89), spring (88), O-ring seal (87), and plug (86) into main control valve (1).

  3. Install valve (82), spring (83), O-ring seal (84), and plug (85).

  4. Install retainer (81), spring (80), O-ring seal (79), and cover (78). Install bolts (77) evenly.

  5. Install O-ring seal (76) onto adjusting screw (75). Install O-ring seal (74) onto plug (72).

    Note: Lubricate adjusting screw (75) with the lubricant that is being sealed.

  6. Install adjusting screw (75) into plug (72). Install nut (71) onto adjusting screw (75). Tighten nut (71) to a torque of 35 ± 6 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft). Install spring pin (73) into adjusting screw (75).

  7. Install plug (72), nut (71), and adjusting screw (75) as one unit into housing (59). Install nut (70) onto nut (71). Tighten nut (70) to a torque of 20 ± 6 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft).

  8. Install O-ring seal (64) onto seat (67). Lubricate seat (67) with the lubricant that is being sealed.

  9. Install dump valve (69), spring (68), and seat (67) into main control valve (1).

  10. Install poppet valve (66), shims (65), spring (63), and spacers (62).

    Note: Be sure that spacers (62) are in contact with spring (63).

  11. Install shims (61), O-ring seal (60), and housing (59). Install bolts (58) evenly.

  12. Install valve (54), spring (55), O-ring seal (56), and plug (57).

  13. Install spool (53), spring (52), O-ring seal (51), and seat (50) into main control valve (1).

  14. Install O-ring seal (49) onto adjusting screw (46). Install O-ring seal (47) onto plug (45).

    Note: Lubricate adjusting screw (46) with the lubricant that is being sealed.

  15. Install adjusting screw (46) into plug (45). Install nut (44) onto adjusting screw (46). Tighten nut (44) to a torque of 35 ± 6 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft). Install spring pin (48) into adjusting screw (46).

  16. Install plug (45), nut (44), and adjusting screw (46) as one unit into cover (35). Install nut (43) onto nut (44). Tighten nut (43) to a torque of 20 ± 6 N·m (15 ± 4 lb ft).

  17. Install poppet valve (38), shims (42), spring (37), and spacers (41).

    Note: Be sure that spacers (41) are in contact with spring (37).

  18. Install shims (36), O-ring seal (40) and cover (35). Install bolts (39) evenly.

  19. Install retainer (29), shims (30), shims (31), springs (32), retainer (33), and O-ring seal (34) into housing (27).

    Note: Make sure that shims (31) are in contact with springs (32).

  20. Position housing (27) and install bolts (28) evenly.

  21. Install valve stem (22), retainer (23), spring (24), and cover (25). Install bolts (26) evenly.

  22. Install O-ring seals (20) and (21) onto valve assembly (13). Install backup rings (19) and backup rings (18) onto valve assembly (13).

    Note: Lubricate O-ring seals (20) and (21) with the lubricant that is being sealed.

  23. Install valve assembly (13), spacer (14), O-ring seal (16), and plug (17) into main control valve (1).

  24. Install stem (15) into main control valve (1).

  25. Install retainer (12), shims (11), shims (10), springs (9), retainer (8), and O-ring seal (7) into housing (5).

    Note: Make sure that shims (10) are in contact with springs (9).

  26. Position housing (4), the O-ring seal, and housing (5) to main control valve (1). Install bolts (6) evenly. Install O-ring seal (3) and piston (2).

End By:

  1. Install the main control valve.
