Usage:

770 BZZ
Excavator:
365C (S/N: ELC1-UP; FEN1-UP; PAR1-UP; MCS1-UP; MCY1-UP)
385C (S/N: EDA1-UP; MMA1-UP; KGB1-UP; SBE1-UP; KKK1-UP; EAM1-UP; JCM1-UP; WAW1-UP; MNZ1-UP)
Mobile Hydraulic Power Unit:

Off-Highway Truck/Tractor:
770 (S/N: BZZ1-UP)
772 (S/N: RLB1-UP)

Description of Change: A new gasket is used on certain C15 and C18 machine engines. The new gasket is comprised of graphite. This helps to ensure a better clamp load. In addition, the new gasket has improved temperature capability.

Adaptable To: The new 341-9211 Gasket replaces the current 241-3283 Gasket and the 7N-7628 Gasket. The new gasket is available back to the first production of the engine.

Torque Procedure

Use the following procedure in order to torque the bolts properly, and to tighten the bolts in the proper sequence.

    Illustration 1g02536237

  1. Tighten bolts 1 and 2 by hand.

  1. Tighten bolts to a torque of 25 N·m (18. lb ft). Refer to Illustration 1 for the proper torque sequence.

  1. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 47 N·m (35 lb ft). Refer to Illustration 1 for the proper torque sequence.

The change is effective at the factory with the serial number prefixes that are listed in Table 1.
