Window Wiper and Wiper Motor (Rear) - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect hose (3). Open cover (1) and remove nut (2) and the lockwasher. Remove wiper assembly (4).

  2. Remove the bolts and washers and slightly open up cover (5).

  3. Cut cable strap (7) and disconnect harness assembly (6).

  4. Remove cover (5) and rear wiper motor (8) as one unit.

  5. Remove cap (13), nut (11), washer (10), and washer (9). Remove nut (12). Remove rear wiper motor (8) from cover (5).

Installation Procedure

  1. Install rear wiper motor (8) in the reverse order of removal.

    1. Tighten nut (12) to a torque of 7.5 ± 0.5 N·m (66.38 ± 4.43 lb in).

    2. Tighten nut (11) to a torque of 9 ± 1 N·m (80 ± 9 lb in).

    3. Tighten nut (2) to a torque of 23 ± 1 N·m (204 ± 9 lb in). Wait a minimum of 0.5 hour and torque nut (2) again to a torque of 23 ± 1 N·m (204 ± 9 lb in).
