Two improved special instructions are available.
For the 785B and the 785C Off-Highway Trucks, Special Instruction, REHS4406, "Installation of the Retrofit and Upgrade for the Ladder Group and the Walkway Group for the 785 Off-Highway Truck" explains the field installation of the new 353-2780 Field Upgrade Kit .
For the 789 Off-Highway Trucks, Special Instruction, REHS2672, "Installation of the Ladder Group and Walkway Group Field Upgrade Kit" explains the field installation of the new 353-2782 Field Upgrade Kit .
Both improved special instructions are the field retrofit kits that upgrade the former ladder style stairs to the new diagonal stairway for the machines. The new diagonal stairway is an integrated design. The new diagonal stairway improves access to the platform and the cab.
The new 353-2780 Field Upgrade Kit replaces the former 294-3679 Ladder and Walkway Gp. The new 353-2782 Field Upgrade Kit replaces the former 285-4156 Ladder and Walkway Gp. Both former groups will no longer be available.
