Start By:
- Remove the bottom guards.
- Remove bolts (1) and panels (2).

- Remove bolts (8) and spacer (9).

Note: If necessary, install four M24 nuts onto Tooling (A) to prevent the damper from falling.
- Attach a suitable lifting device to damper (10). The weight of damper (10) is approximately
188 kg (415 lb) . Remove the M24 nuts. - Remove damper (10).

- Install Tooling (A). Ensure that the dowel hole on the crankshaft will align with dowel (10A) on damper (10). Use a suitable lifting device to position vibration damper (10) onto Tooling (A). The weight of vibration damper (10) is approximately The weight of damper (10) is approximately
188 kg (415 lb) .Note: If necessary, install four M24 nuts onto Tooling (A) to prevent the damper from falling.

- Lubricate the threads and under the bolt head of bolts (8) with a Molysulfide based lubricant. Install bolts (8) and remove Tooling (A).
- Bolt Tightening Procedure
- Begin the tightening sequence with the four bolts at the counter bored locations on the spacer. Tighten the bolts to a torque of
700 ± 50 N·m (516 ± 37 lb ft) in the sequence indicated. Tighten the four counter bored bolts again to a torque of700 ± 50 N·m (516 ± 37 lb ft) .
