Problem
The 139-3544 Relief Valve Gp (STEERING, IMPLEMENT PILOT) on the above listed machines may produce a high pitched squeal when the direction is changed with the STIC steering control lever.
Solution
Caterpillar is investigating a potential reduction in steering pilot pressure with time as the root cause. The dealer should check the existing 139-3544 Relief Valve Gp (STEERING, IMPLEMENT PILOT). The dealer should now make any necessary adjustments. The valve should be adjusted to 2400 kPa (350 psi). Any necessary adjustment procedures are contained in the following:
