A New Tightening Sequence and a New Half Flange Are Used for the Turbocharger Bellows Assemblies {1052, 1053}

Description of Change: A new torque procedure and a new design for the half flange has improved the sealing capability at the exhaust bellows joint.

Adaptable To: The new 329-3716 Half Flange aligns the split in the joint of the half flanges with the mounting holes of the turbocharger. The new torque procedure and the new design for the half flange improves the load distribution for the 207-1354 Gasket and the 207-1382 Exhaust Gasket .

  1. Tighten the "X" bolts at the split in the flange in any sequence.

    Torque ... 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft)

  1. Tighten the "Y" bolts in any sequence.

    Torque ... 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft)

  1. Tighten the "Y" bolts in any sequence.

    Torque ... 54 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft)
