Identifying the Refrigerant

Usage:

Sebelum menyervis sistem AC, tipe refrigerant yang digunakan harus ditentukan agar buku petunjuk servis yang benar dapat dipilih.

Tag yang dipasang di dalam kabin atau di dekat kompresor dapat mengidentifikasi refrigerant. Alat berat dapat memiliki tag yang dipasang pabrik (1), atau alat berat dapat memiliki tag (2) yang dipasang oleh dealer.

Anda dapat juga mengidentifikasi tipe refrigerant yang digunakan dalam sistem AC dengan memeriksa port pengisian. Sistem dengan R-134a menggunakan port lepas cepat (4) sedangkan sistem dengan R-12 yang lebih lama menggunakan port berulir (3). Port ini biasanya ditemukan di fitting blok yang terpasang ke kompresor.

Jika sistem berisi R-12 dan perlu diservis, rujuk ke Buku Petunjuk Servis, SENR3334, "Air Conditioning and Heater R-12".

Jika sistem berisi R-12 dan harus diretrofit untuk digunakan dengan R-134a, rujuk ke Buku Petunjuk Khusus, SEHS9734, "Retrofitting Caterpillar R-12 Air Conditioning System to R-134a Refrigerant".
