Assembly Procedure

Note: Thoroughly clean all parts of the tilt control valve prior to assembly. Inspect the condition of all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Lubricate the mating surfaces and all O-ring seals with clean hydraulic oil.

Improper assembly of parts that are spring loaded can cause bodily injury. To prevent possible injury, follow the established assembly procedure and wear protective equipment.

Note: Stem (12) is not symmetrical. Install stem (12) according to the alignment marks.

1. Install stem (12), retainer (14), spring (15), seal (13), and cover (11).

2. Install bolts (10) in cover (11).

3. Install retainer (7), spring (8), seal (9), and cover (6).

4. Install bolts (5) in cover (6).

5. Install seals (4) on cartridge assembly (3).

6. Install cartridge assembly (3). Tighten cartridge assembly (3) to a torque of 30 ± 4 N·m (22 ± 3 lb ft).

7. Apply Tooling (A) on the threads of nut (2). Install coil assembly (1) and nut (2). Tighten nut (2) to a torque of 14 ± 3 N·m (10 ± 2 lb ft).

End By:

1. Install the tilt control valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Tilt Control Valve (Dual) - Install".
