Procedure to Rework Old Harness Assemblies for the New Heaters for the Extensions

Screed extensions that were built after 01October 2007 have new heaters and harness assemblies. These screed extensions will attach to screeds with new updated heaters and updated harness assemblies. Harness assemblies on extensions with updated heaters have single pin Deutsch connectors rather than multiple pin Deutsch connectors.

Replace the heater and harness assemblies on extensions with old wiring for use with screeds with new wiring. Refer to the tables in ""Installation for Rear Mounted Screeds" " and ""Installation for the Front Mounted Screeds" ".

In order to use extensions with new wiring on screeds with old harness assemblies, the harness assembly for the extender on the right screed and the harness assembly for the extender on the left hand screed must be updated. Either update the screed or rework the harness assemblies for the screed extension.
