A new plug (1) and an O-ring are now used on the machines that are listed above. The new plug assembly has tighter tolerances that improve the sealing capability of the plug.

(1) 321-8635 Plug (2) 214-7568 O-Ring Seal (3) 183-3407 Plug As |
The 321-8635 Plug (1) and the 214-7568 O-Ring Seal (2) are a direct replacement for the 183-3407 Plug As (3). If a repair is made because of a 183-3407 Plug As, replace all of the 183-3407 Plug As with 321-8635 Plug and 214-7568 O-Ring Seal along the high pressure oil rail in the cylinder head.
Plug torque ... 35 ± 3.5 N·m (26 ± 3.00 lb ft)
The new plug and the O-ring are adaptable back to the first production of the listed engines.
