Improved Wiring for the Speed Control for the Electronic Governor {1408, 1417}

Usage:

C4.4 D4B
Engine:
C3.3 (S/N: X3B1-UP; N3C1-UP)
C4.4 (S/N: D4B1-UP)

Improved control wiring is now available on generator set control panels. The wires for the speed control are now connected to 0 volts. Previous designs of the wiring harness left the wires as a normally open circuit. This improvement eliminates variation in engine speed. Speed variation was mostly noticed on single-phase gensets.

Improvements can be made to existing generator set control panels by replacing the normally open switch. Install a normally open, normally closed switch and connect the switch to the 0 volts. Refer to Illustration 1.
