Use the Turbocharger Seal Kit to Repair Exhaust Leaks {1052, 1053, 7555}

A seal kit is available for the following turbochargers:

Use the 165-6674 Turbocharger Seal Kit in order to repair exhaust leaks around the cartridge assembly.

Follow the correct assembly procedure when the seal kit is installed.

Assembly Procedure

  1. Assemble the bearing housing (cartridge) and the turbocharger turbine housing. Ensure that there is a tight fit between the two housings. The housings must be properly aligned in order to prevent distortion to the v-band clamp.

  1. Install the v-band clamp and tighten the clamp to the following torque:

    Torque ... 60 N·m (44 lb ft)

  1. Tap around the outside diameter of the cover with a soft hammer and tighten the v-band clamp again to the following torque:

    Torque ... 60 N·m (44 lb ft)
