Wires pulled away from the spring of the injector.

When the valve cover is removed, complete an overall inspection of the wiring harness. All of the wires must be pulled away from moving parts and rub points. The wires must have a tie strap in order to keep the wires away from moving parts and rub points.

After the connections are made at the injectors, pull the wiring harness away from the springs of the injectors and tie strap in order to prevent interference with moving parts and rub points.

Check the wiring at the injectors, bosses and edges in order to ensure that the wiring is not rubbing. Install a tie strap from the injector harness to the main harness. Installing a tie strap will ensure that the injector harness will remain closer to the valve cover base.
