Vibration Damper - Remove

NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Note: Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "General Information (Reference Material)" for more information.

Remove two bolts (2) that hold vibration damper (1) to the shaft. Install Tooling (A) in the holes.

Remove the remainder of bolts (2). Carefully move vibration damper (1) onto Tooling (A) in order to pass a suitable lifting device through the center of vibration damper (1) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to vibration damper (1). The weight of vibration damper (1) is approximately 188 kg (414 lb). Remove vibration damper (1) .

Remove two of the bolts that hold adapter (3) in place. Install Tooling (B) in the holes.

Remove the remainder of the bolts. Carefully move adapter (3) onto Tooling (B) in order to pass a suitable lifting device through the center of adapter (3) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to adapter (3). The weight of adapter (3) is approximately 30 kg (66 lb). Remove adapter (3) .
