NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Note: Check the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Use Tooling (B) in order to raise transmission (43) .

Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to install engine (36) . The weight of engine (36) is approximately 1089 kg (2400 lb).

Install bolts (38) .

Connect hose assembly (37) .

Install the remaining bolts (38) that are underneath the machine.

Position the O-ring seal and elbow (40) . Install bolts (39) .

Note: Be sure to remove Tooling (A) and Tooling (B) .

Install bolts (41) .

Connect hose assembly (42) .

Position hose assembly (34) and install bolts (35) .

Connect harness assembly (33) . Tighten the nut that holds harness assembly (33) to a torque of 2.3 ± 0.3 N·m (20 ± 3 lb in). Install cover (32) . Tighten the nut that holds cover (32) to a torque of 2.3 ± 0.3 N·m (20 ± 3 lb in).

Connect cable assemblies (31) . Tighten the nut that holds cable assemblies (31) to a torque of 31 ± 4 N·m (23 ± 3 lb ft).

Connect cable assemblies (30) . Tighten the nut that holds cable assemblies (30) to a torque of 31 ± 4 N·m (23 ± 3 lb ft).

Install clips (29) .

Install harness assembly (28) . Tighten bolt (27) to a torque of 6.0 + 1.5 - 1.0 N·m (53.1 + 13 - 9 lb in).

Install clip (26) .

Position tube assemblies (24) and install clip (23) .

Install tube assembly (22) . Tighten clamps (21) on each end of tube assembly (22) to a torque of 12 ± 1 N·m (106 ± 9 lb in).

Install clamp (25) .

Install clamp (20) .

Connect hose assembly (19) .

Connect tube assemblies (18) to the engine.

Position a/c compressor (12) . Position bracket (13) and install bolts (14) .

Install belt (15) . Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Belts - Replace".

Connect harness assembly (17) and connect harness assemblies (16) .

Valve (10) is shown in the OPEN position.

Connect tube assembly (9) and tighten clamp (8) .

Connect hoses (11) and (6) to the engine.

Connect tube assembly (7) . Move valve (10) to the OPEN position.

Install clips (5) .

Position cover (4) and install bolts (3) .

Connect cable assembly (2) . Tighten the bolt that secures cable assembly (2) to a torque of 4.4 ± 1.0 N·m (38.9 ± 8.9 lb in). Connect cable assembly (1) . Tighten the nut that secures cable assembly (1) to a torque of 18 ± 2 N·m (13 ± 1 lb ft).

End By:

Install the fan pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Fan Drive) - Install".
Install the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Transmission Charging and Scavenge) - Install".
Install the all wheel drive piston pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (All Wheel Drive) - Install".
Install the hydraulic and steering piston pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Piston Pump (Hydraulic and Steering) - Install".
