NOTICE

Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.


Note: Inspect the gaskets. Replace gaskets that are damaged or worn.

  1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of new clamp assembly (18). Position combustion body group (16) and install new clamp assembly (18). Tighten clamp assembly (18) to a torque of 11 ± 2 N·m (98 ± 18 lb in).

  1. Apply Tooling (A) onto the threads of turbocharger outlet temperature sensor (17). Install turbocharger outlet temperature sensor (17). Tighten turbocharger outlet temperature sensor (17) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).

  1. Install nuts (15) .

  1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of clamp assembly (12). Position tube assembly (13) and install a new clamp assembly (12). Tighten clamp assembly (12) to a torque of 11 ± 2 N·m (97 ± 18 lb in).

  1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of flame detection temperature sensor (14). Install flame detection temperature sensor (14). Tighten flame detection temperature sensor (14) to a torque of45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).

  1. Connect hose (11). Tighten hose (11) to a torque of 11 ± 3 N·m (97 ± 27 lb in).

  1. Connect hose (10). Tighten hose (10) to a torque of 17 ± 3 N·m (150 ± 27 lb in).

  1. Connect hose (9). Tighten hose (9) to a torque of 16 ± 1.5 N·m (142 ± 132 lb in).

  1. Connect hose (8). Tighten hose (8) to a torque of 11 ± 1 N·m (97 ± 9 lb in).

  1. Connect hoses (7). Tighten hoses (7) to a torque of 11 ± 3 N·m (97 ± 27 lb in).

  1. Connect cable assembly (5) and connect cable assembly (4) .

  1. Apply Tooling (A) to the threads of flame detection temperature sensor (3). Connect flame detection temperature sensor (3). Tighten flame detection temperature sensor (3) to a torque of 45 ± 5 N·m (33 ± 4 lb ft).

  1. Install gasket (2) and connect tube assembly (1) .

  1. Tighten clamp (6) .

  1. Fill the cooling system with coolant. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Refill Capacities" for the cooling system capacity.

  1. Perform the ARD ignition test. Refer to Troubleshooting Manual, "ARD Ignition - Test".
