An Improved Water Temperature Regulator in C7 On-Highway Truck Engines is Now Used{1355, 1380, 1393}

Usage:

C7 KAL
Engine:
C7 (S/N: KAL1-UP; SAP1-UP; WAX1-50709)

Introduction

Some of the C7 On-Highway Truck Engines have been experiencing low heat in the cab.

Problem

The water temperature regulator for C7 On-Highway Truck Engines is not functioning properly.

Solution

Check the coolant hoses for proper routing. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU6740, if you are experiencing low heat in the cab. Replace 115-4223 Water Temperature Regulator with the same part number 115-4223 Water Temperature Regulator per maintenance practices in the Operation and Maintenance Manual, SEBU7766.

The improved 115-4223 Water Temperature Regulator material is effective on 1August 2006 with serial numbers S/N:WAX50710-UP.

S/N:SAP1-UP, ; S/N:KAL1-UP, and ; S/N:WAX1-50709 On-Highway Truck Engines should replace the old 115-4223 Water Temperature Regulator with the new 115-4223 Water Temperature Regulator for improving heating capabilities and the functionality of the cooling system.
