Alternator - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure

Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool. |
 |
- Open the engine enclosure.
- Turn the disconnect switch to the OFF position.
- Remove the bolts and guard (1) .

- Remove belt (3) from alternator (2) .

- Disconnect cable assembly (4) and harness assemblies (5) from alternator (2) .

- Remove bolt (6), bolt (3) and alternator (2) from the engine.
Installation Procedure
- Install alternator (2), bolt (3), and bolt (6) .

- Connect harness assemblies (5) and cable assembly (4) to alternator (2) .
- Install belt (3) on alternator (2) .

- Install guard (1) and the bolts.

- Turn the disconnect switch to the ON position.
- Close the engine enclosure.
