Bucket Control Safety Pins - Remove and Install

No clearance for person in this area when bucket control group lowers. Severe injury or death from crushing could occur. Install bucket control group safety pins before servicing machine in this area. Remove safety pins and secure before resuming operation. |
- Move the machine to a hard, level surface. Park the machine in the straight ahead position and engage the parking brake.

Illustration 1 g01074714 - Raise the lift arms (1) until safety pin (2) is above the front frame tower.

Illustration 2 g01365703 - Hold back pin lock (4). Turn safety pin handle (3) counterclockwise (clockwise for the right bucket control safety pin), then push safety pin (2) fully into the lift arm assembly (as shown). Release pin lock (4) to lock safety pin in position.
- Repeat Step 3 for the right side bucket control safety pin.
- Lower the lift arms so safety pins (2) rest on the front frame tower.
- Move the bucket to the full DUMP position.

- Raise lift arms (1) until safety pin (2) is above the front frame tower.

Illustration 4 g01365703 - Hold back pin lock (4). Using safety pin handle (3), pull safety pin (2) out from the lift arm assembly. Turn safety pin handle (3) clockwise (counterclockwise for the right side bucket control safety pin). Release pin lock (4) to lock safety pin in position.
- Repeat Step 2 for the right side bucket control safety pin.
- Lower the bucket to the ground.
