Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure - Remove".

Note: Put identification marks on all hoses, on all hose assemblies, on all wires, and on all tube assemblies for installation purposes. Plug all hose assemblies and all tube assemblies. This helps to prevent fluid loss, and this helps to keep contaminants from entering the system.

1. Loosen clamp (2) . Disconnect hose (4) .

2. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to muffler assembly (1) . The weight of muffler assembly (1) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Remove bolts (3) and muffler assembly (1) .

Installation Procedure

1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to muffler assembly (1) . The weight of muffler assembly (1) is approximately 27 kg (60 lb). Position muffler assembly (1) at a distance of 5 mm (0.2 inch) from the flange on the turbocharger at location (X) . Install bolts (3) .

2. Tighten clamp (2) . Connect hose (4) .

End By: Install the engine enclosure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure - Install".
