Dealer Service Tools has released a test cable group that the technician can use with Cat Electronic Technician (Cat ET) to check three-wire, active analog circuits that are used in many Caterpillar models. The test cable group was originally designed to test the intake valve actuation pressure sensors in Caterpillar Engines.

The 288-4325 Test Cable Gp consists of one test harness assembly and two adapter harness assemblies that are shown in the illustrations. A light emitting diode (LED) in the test harness assembly indicates the sensor is receiving power. The test harness assembly also sends a voltage signal through the wiring harness that Cat ET can read. The adapter harness assemblies connect either to 3 pin Deutsch connectors or to 3 pin Amp connectors.
