UPS 1000S/ UPS 1200S Uninterruptible Power Supplys Caterpillar

Most cabinets in the UPS 1200 have two or more air filter and screens located on the front doors of the cabinet. The screens are removeable from the outside of the unit allows the air filters in the door to be replaced without opening the cabinet door. Each screen is fastened by four screws.

The air filters are electrostatic units that can be washed and reused. Filters that need replacement must be ordered from the manufacturer.

Removal

1. Locate the screen you want to remove.

2. Locate the four screws that attach the screen to be removed to the door.

3. Remove the four screws.

   Note: Be sure to hold the screen in place so that the screen does not fall out after screws are removed.

4. Remove the screen by carefully prying the screen out of the depression in the cabinet door.

   The screen is loosely placed in the depression but may be hard to grasp.

   Note: Be aware the air filter that is located behind the screen is loose.

5. Remove air filter.

Installation

1. Place the air filter, arrow inward, in the screen depression prior to installation of the screen.

   Note: Be sure that the filter is dry before installing the filter in the door.

2. Place the front screen in the rectangular depression on the cabinet door, lining up the screw holes for installation.

3. Insert the four screws in the four corners of the screen and tighten the four screws hand tight.
