Description of Change: In certain applications, the rear steering bracket bore can wear. The repair to the pin bores requires welding and boring. A new sleeve bearing is being used in order to improve the service life and serviceability of the rear steering bracket.

Adaptable To: The new 281-7610 Sleeve Bearing is adaptable to earlier machines. The steering bracket should be bored to 77.650 ± 0.040 mm (3.057 ± 0.002 inch). The 281-7610 Sleeve Bearing can be pressed in place with 36450 N·m (27000 lb ft). The sleeve bearing can also be placed in the bore if the bearing is frozen to −150 °C (−238 °F).
