The philosophy at Caterpillar is to incorporate significant improvements into remanufactured products. This is done in order to provide the greatest value to the customer. The charts in this publication identify significant improvements for final drives (wheel arrangements), transmissions and torque converters for mining products, the effective date in the corresponding remanufactured products and the publication that announced the change on the new product.

The serial numbers in the following charts are the beginning serial numbers. The serial numbers were started when the improvements to the parts were made. The serial number for the listed products is a sequential number. If the serial number of the remanufactured unit is greater than the serial number in the chart, the improvements have been incorporated.

The release of future improvements on new drive train will reference the effective date and the serial number of corresponding remanufactured unit as well.
