Description of Change: The shorter V-belt allows the tension to be adjusted more times as the belt stretches from wear. The adjustments enable the belt to provide additional service life.

Adaptable To: The 7C-8236 V-Belt is a direct replacement for the original 1P-9744 V-Belt that was used with the 141-7105 Refrigerant Compressor Gp in the above machines. The 7C-8236 V-Belt is adaptable to first production.

The original 1P-9744 V-Belt is not canceled but the 7C-8236 V-Belt is now used with the 141-7105 Refrigerant Compressor Gp .

Initial belt tension for the 7C-8236 V-Belt ... 580 ± 110 N (130 ± 25 lb)

Belt tension for the 7C-8236 V-Belt after 30 minutes of operation at rated speed ... 445 ± 44 N (100 ± 10 lb)
