This information lists the procedures that are required in order to install the Handrail and the Step Group on the following models:the 950H, the 962H, the 966H, the 972H and 980H.

A complete listing of the parts that are contained in this kit are listed in the Parts Manual, SEBC1497.

This supplemental product support literature should be used with other product support literature that is available for the model that is being worked on.

Remove the Left Hand Bracket and the Mirror

1. Remove the left-hand bracket and mirror (A). Keep the mirror and hardware for later use.

Remove Handrails

1. Remove handrails (B) and (C). Keep hardware for later use.

Installation of the Handrail Assembly and Mirror

1. Use the following hardware and install the 240-0363 Handrail As (1) :
   • Four 8T-4192 (5)

   • Four 8T-4223 (7)

2. Use the following hardware and install the 251-9885 Handrail As (2) :
   • One 7X-0589 Hard Washer (3)

   • Two 8T-4183 Bolts (4)

   • One 8T-4195 Bolt (6)

   • Two 8T-4223 Hard Washers (7)

3. Use the following hardware and install the 251-9886 Handrail As (8) :
   • One 7X-0589 Hard Washer (3)

   • Two 8T-4183 Bolts (4)

   • One 8T-4195 Bolt (6)

   • Two 8T-4223 Hard Washers (7)

4. Use the original hardware and install the 244-8785 Tube As (9) in the place of the left-hand bracket and mirror:

5. Use the following hardware and install the 258-7370 Latch As (10) onto the 244-8785 Tube As (9) :
   • One 8T-4224 Hard Washer (12)

   • One 3F-2617 Locknut (13)

6. Remove the mirror from the old bracket and install the mirror onto the 244-8785 Tube As .

7. Secure the power cable for the mirror with three 3S-2093 Cable Straps (11) .

1. The 343-8148 Plate (9) can be welded on the outside of the fender assembly. A fillet type of skip weld of 3 mm (0.12 inch) (A) should be used in order to secure the plate.

2. Use the following hardware and install the 338-0627 Front Handrail As (1) :
   • Three 5P-1076 Hard Washers (4)

   • Three 259-2627 Bolts (8)

3. Use the following hardware and install the 318-0536 Tread Plate (2) :
   • Four 7X-7729 Washers (5)

   • Four 8T-4137 (7)

4. Use the following hardware and install the 271-6472 Step (3) :
   • Two 8T-4121 Hard Washers (6)

   • Two 8T-4137 Bolts (7)

1. Weld the 254-0004 Bracket As (10) and 276-0730 Bracket As (11) as shown in Illustration 8. Use a 5 mm (0.2 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.1 inch) penetration.

2. Weld the 132-6964 Plate (12) as shown in Illustration 8. Use a 5 mm (0.2 inch) fillet weld with 1.5 mm (0.1 inch) penetration.

3. The 343-8148 Plate (9) can be welded on the outside of the fender assembly. A fillet type of skip weld of 3 mm (0.12 inch) (A) should be used in order to secure the plate.

4. Use the following hardware and install the 338-0627 Front Handrail As (1) :
   • Three 5P-1076 Hard Washers (4)

   • Three 8T-4139 Bolts (8)

5. Use the following hardware and install the 323-4701 Tread Plate (2) :
   • Four 7X-7729 Washers (5)

   • Four 8T-4137 (7)

6. Use the following hardware and install the 271-6472 Step (3) :
   • One 8T-4121 Hard Washers (6)

   • One 8T-4137 Bolts (7)
