- Check to ensure that the Parallel Bus Output (PBO) circuit breaker is open in the Parallel Control Cabinet (PCC).
- Press the "Log On" button.
- Enter a valid service level user name and password.
- Press the "Enable Online Comand" button.
- Press the "Online" button.
The UPS/SMS or Multi-Module Unit (MMU) performs system checks and goes online in a UPS/SMS system.
An MMU system will go online but the system will not affect the load until the system is brought online via the PCC. Refer to the PCC service literature for more information on putting the Paralleled UPS online.
Note: Confirm that the UPS/SMS is online by observing the "Status" box on the Graphical User Interface (GUI).
Adding a Paralleled MMU to System that is NOT Online
- Check to ensure that the Parallel Bus Input Breaker (PIB) is closed in the Parallel Control Cabinet (PCC).
- Confirm that the system is in bypass and the load is energized via the bypass source. If not, place the system in bypass via the procedure in the PCC service literature.
- Press the "Log On" button.
- Enter a valid service level user name and password.
- Press the "Enable Online Command" button.
- Press the "Online" button.

Black Box Start Procedure (MMU only)
This start procedure is used in a parallel system when the Multi-Module Units (MMUs) have input but the bypass source does not. The Parallel Control Cabinet (PCC) is powered down and the load is not powered.
- Check to ensure that the Parallel Bus Output Breaker (PBO) is open in the Parallel Control Cabinet (PCC).
- Check to ensure that the Parallel Bus Input Breaker (PIB) is closed in the PCC.
- Transfer MMU #1 to online mode. Refer to "UPS/SMS" Step 1 through Step 5.
