The Zig Zag Thyristor (Q7) (1) is located on the left panel in 4-wire installations only. Refer to Illustration 1.
Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR9988, "Internal Component Preremoval Steps (SMS Bypass Cabinet)" in order to shut down the system and gain access to internal components.
- Disconnect the wires from the Thyristor (1). Verify the labeling of the wires for subsequent installation.
- Remove the two screws that hold the Thyristor (1) to the left panel.
- Remove the Thyristor (1) from the left panel.
- Attach the Thyristor (1) to the left panel with two screws.
