Installation Procedure

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

1. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to position the transmission and torque converter (41) on the machine.

2. Install bolts (42) in order to connect engine (40) to the transmission and torque converter (41).

3. Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device to raise engine (40) and the transmission and torque converter (41) in order to remove the suitable blocking between oil pan (43) and the frame.

4. Install bracket assemblies (38) and bolts (37).

5. Use Tooling (B) and the suitable lifting device to lower engine (40) and the transmission and torque converter (41) into position.

6. Install bolts (39). Tighten bolts (39) to a torque of 900 ± 100 N·m (664 ± 74 lb ft).

7. Connect clip (36).

8. Install step assemblies (35) on both sides of the machine.

9. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device in order to position support assembly (33) on the machine. The weight of support assembly (33) is approximately 191 kg (420 lb).

10. Install bolts (34).

28. Install nuts (6).

29. Install fuel filter base (4) and hose assemblies (1) and (3).

30. Connect hose assemblies (1), (2), and (3).

31. Open the fuel supply valve.

32. Fill the transmission with oil. Refer toOperation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities".

33. Fill the hydraulic tank with oil. Refer toOperation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities".

End By:

1. Install the center drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Center) - Remove and Install".

2. Install the front drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Front) - Remove and Install".

3. Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install".

4. Install the hood panels and the side doors. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood Panel and Side Doors - Remove and Install".
