- Lower the temperature of bearing cups (28) . Install bearing cups (28) .

- Raise the temperature of bearing cone (25) . Install bearing cone (25) .

- Raise the temperature of seal ring carrier (24) and install shaft assembly (21) . Install seal rings (23) .

- Position housing assembly (22) over the shaft assembly. Raise the temperature of bearing cone (26) and install bearing cone (26) . Install lip seal (27) after adjusting the end play.

- Use Tooling (E) to adjust shims (20) in order to allow 0.050 mm (0.0020 inch) to 0.100 mm (0.0039 inch) of end play. Install shims (20) , yoke assembly (18) , bolt (19) , the retainer, the spacer, the O-ring seal, and the lip seal.
