New Water Cooled Exhaust Manifold {1059}

Cracks in the welding are found on 7N-3175 Manifold. The 7N-3175 Manifold is used on 3408 and 3412 engines. The cracks in the welding are due to poor coolant flow.

The flow of coolant and venting through the manifold has been improved. The new manifold eliminates the hot spots. The hot spots promote cracking.

The following parts list is required to update the 7N-3175 Manifold to the 147-0642 Manifold.

Upon installation of the 147-0642 Manifold, remove the 6N-9300 Tube As, the 9L-4007 Flared Elbow and the 6N-4573 Oil Tube As. Discard the 6N-9300 Tube As, the 9L-4007 Flared Elbow and the 6N-4573 Oil Tube As. The new lines group uses a coolant hose and fittings. The new lines group replaces the tube assembly. Installation of a 156-1732 Oil Supply Tube is also required. Refer to Illustration 1 for assembly instructions.

The new lines group uses a coolant hose and fittings. The new lines group replaces the tube assembly. Installation of a 140-0024 Oil Supply Tube is also required. Refer to Illustration 2 for assembly instructions.

Installation of a 152-8348 Oil Supply Tube is also required. Refer to Illustration 1 for assembly instructions.
