System Startup (SMS) - Single Module System

Usage:

UPS 250 APZ

------ WARNING! ------

When servicing or repairing electric power generation equipment:

Make sure the unit is off-line (disconnected from utility and/or other generators power service), and either locked out or tagged DO NOT OPERATE. Remove all fuses.

Preheat Cycle for the Flywheel

The UPS uses the preheat cycle in order to warm the rotor. Verify if preheat is necessary with the start of the flywheel. There are some different factors that can go into determining if preheat is required or if preheat is not required. Refer to Systems Operation, Testing and Adjusting, RENR9988, "General Information" for an explanation of the process for preheat. Once the preheat cycle is complete, the system will automatically continue with start-up or RPS calibration.

Note: Call technical support for a password in order to bypass the preheat cycle.
